Using an Open Number Line to Add

Here is what we did in class today! We talked about using an "open number line" to add larger numbers. We start with the big number and add it to our number line. Then, we decompose the number you are adding into hundreds, tens, fives, and ones (depending on how big your number is). Here is a quick video tutorial!
